Meet Dr. Alex Blaseio
I am thrilled to be joining Lucas Orthodontic Group and to be practicing in Tennessee! Originally, I am from Southern California but have lived as far away as Munich, Germany. I was born just after my parents graduated from their orthodontics program at Loma Linda University (it has been said that orthodontics is in my blood). We three moved to Rosenheim, Germany just a few weeks after I was born so my parents could start a practice there. As a boy, I was very proud of my lederhosen and to have a Bavarian accent. After six years, my family moved back to California so my father could focus on his software business.
While I was in middle and high school, my family lived in California, Florida, and Germany. After high school I attended UCLA, and became very involved in the rowing team. While on the UCLA varsity crew I visited Tennessee to row at the 2007 Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) championship in Oak Ridge. The beautiful rolling hills really left an impression. After graduating from UCLA with a major in Neuroscience, I attended the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. It was there that I met my amazing future wife, Poppy.
Both Poppy and I pursued additional training after becoming dentists. I completed my orthodontics residency at the Montefiore Medical Center in The Bronx, and Poppy will finish her endodontics residency at the Long Beach VA this June. In our spare time, Poppy and I love cooking family meals, hiking, and training our 1-year-old puppy, Levi. We are thrilled to become part of the greater Nashville community and will be moving to Tennessee together this July!
